However, you don’t have to amend a return because of math errors you made; the IRS will correct those. WebIn IRS website I read that you can't change the account after submission. Also ,once you sign the papers you confirmed the info were correct and IRS won't be responsible for any errors. So, if the wrong account be valid & the tax return goes to wrong person IRS won't be responsible. Do I need to file an amended to correct it ?
